  • ⅔ cup (83 g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (50 g) natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter
  • melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • room temperature preferred
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (85 g) milk chocolate chips
  • caramel sauce

  • ¾ cup pecans
  • chopped
  • ½ cup (85 g) milk chocolate chips
  • 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
  • sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup granulated sugar, water, corn syrup, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves, then stop stirring and let it boil until it turns amber color. Remove from heat and carefully stir in cream and butter until smooth. Stir in vanilla and set aside.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together 1 ¼ cups sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla until well combined. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold in the milk chocolate chips.
  4. Spread brownie batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  5. Once brownies are cool, drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Melt the remaining milk chocolate chips with heavy cream and drizzle over the top. Finish with a sprinkle of sea salt.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the nut toppings according to your preferences. Make sure not to overbake the brownies for a fudgy texture.
