  • 2 pounds chicken legs and thighs skin on
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • oil for spraying
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine buttermilk, eggs, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken, ensuring it’s fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, seasoned salt, paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Lightly spray the chicken pieces with oil.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
