- 2 pounds chicken legs and thighs skin on
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- oil for spraying
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
- 1 ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine buttermilk, eggs, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken, ensuring it’s fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, seasoned salt, paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Lightly spray the chicken pieces with oil.
- Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Adjust cooking time based on the size of the chicken pieces.
