- (1) 8-ounce pkg. Cream Cheese softened
- (1) 15-ounce can Pure Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 cup Butter (melted and slightly cooled)
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 3 large Eggs
- 3 1/4 cups Powdered Sugar * (may reduce to 2 1/2 cups)
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg or 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the pumpkin puree, melted butter, vanilla, and eggs, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (or pumpkin pie spice), and salt, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the filling into an all-butter pie crust.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the filling is set.
- While the pie cools, prepare the whipped cream by beating the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Serve the pie slices topped with whipped cream.
Notes
For a less sweet pie, reduce the powdered sugar to 2 1/2 cups. Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy blending.
