- 2 lbs chicken
- 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim the fat off the chicken and place it in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, honey, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
For a less sweet flavor, reduce the honey to 1/8 cup or omit it entirely. You can also add your favorite spices to customize the flavor.
