Description

Texas Trash Dip is a gooey, cheesy party favorite that combines rich refried beans, creamy layers, and a flavorful punch from taco seasoning and green chiles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (16-ounce) cans refried beans
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles
  • drained
  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large baking dish, spread the refried beans evenly as the base layer.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  4. Fold in the chopped green chiles and taco seasoning into the cream mixture.
  5. Spread the creamy layer over the beans in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with tortilla chips.

Notes

For extra spice, consider adding jalapenos instead of green chiles. Serve warm for the best taste.
