- ½ cup sugar
- ¾ cup orange liqueur divided into (½ cup and ¼ cup)
- 16 ounces mascarpone cheese room temperature
- 16 ounces heavy cream chilled
- ⅓ cup sifted cocoa powder
- 13 ounces strawberries hulled and sliced
- 32 ounces hulled and sliced strawberries
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese and sugar until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- In a shallow dish, combine ½ cup of orange liqueur with sliced strawberries.
- Dip ladyfingers one at a time into the liqueur mixture quickly, then layer them in a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Dust the top with sifted cocoa powder and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh sliced strawberries and drizzle with remaining liqueur.
