Strawberry Sorbet

Description

This Strawberry Sorbet is a refreshing and fruity treat, perfect for hot summer days or any time you crave a light dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups strawberries (360g)
  • 1/4 cup sugar of choice (pure maple syrup
  • white sugar
  • xylitol
  • etc.)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice or zest of 1 lemon
  • optional pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then place them in a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the sugar, lemon juice or zest, and optional salt to the blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a shallow dish and freeze for about 30 minutes, or until firm.
  4. Once frozen, scrape the sorbet with a fork to create a fluffy texture. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

For creamier sorbet, blend the mixture every 15 minutes as it freezes. Adjust sweetness to taste.
