Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (125 grams) flour
- 3/4 cup (86 grams) Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons (196 grams) refined coconut oil or butter
- melted and cooled slightly
- 1 1/2 cups (300 grams) granulated sugar or coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup (170 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream or whipping cream or full-fat canned coconut milk
- 1/2 cup (85 grams) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted coconut oil or butter with granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the sugar mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the topping: in a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just boiling and pour it over the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Let sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
- Once the brownies are done, let them cool completely before spreading the ganache over the top.
- Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the top of the chocolate ganache to create the spiderweb effect. Use a toothpick to swirl the white chocolate into the ganache to make a web design.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use full-fat canned coconut milk for the ganache and make sure your chocolate is dairy-free.
