- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- ⅛ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- 2 medium ripe pears peeled and diced (about 1 1/2 cups)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cardamom.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced pears gently.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
