- 2 cups beef broth
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine stew meat with salt, black pepper, and thyme.
- Add minced garlic and onion soup mix, mixing well to coat the beef.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker and pour in beef broth, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meat is tender.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix cornstarch with a little cold water to form a slurry and stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
Notes
Serve over mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal. You can also add vegetables like carrots or peas for added nutrition.
