  • 5 cups (132g) Rice Krispies or any kind of crispy rice cereal
  • ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter
  • 1 10-oz bag (283g) mini marshmallows about 8 cups

  1. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and mix in a few drops of red food coloring to achieve your desired color.
  3. Add the Rice Krispies to the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until well coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and let it cool for about 30 minutes.
  5. Once cooled, cut into brain shapes using a cookie cutter or simply shape them by hand for a more rustic look.
