- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 4 oz cream cheese

- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of instant yeast, and 1 tsp of salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of warm milk, 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1/4 cup of melted butter, and 1 large egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 2 tsp of ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg, and 1/4 cup of pumpkin puree.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread 2 tbsp of melted butter followed by the filling mixture evenly on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 pieces, placing them in a greased baking pan.
- Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes before baking in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- For the glaze, whisk together 1/3 cup of maple syrup, 2 tbsp of melted butter, and 1 tbsp of powdered sugar.
- In a separate bowl, mix 4 oz of softened cream cheese, 2 tbsp of powdered sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Remove the rolls from the oven and drizzle with the glaze and cream cheese frosting before serving.
Notes
These cinnamon rolls can be made a day ahead. Simply prepare the rolls up to the point of baking, refrigerate overnight, and then bake in the morning for fresh rolls.
