Description
This delicious Potato-Zucchini Gratin combines layers of tender potatoes and zucchini, baked in a creamy cheese sauce for a comforting side dish.

- 500g potatoes
- 300g zucchini
- 200ml cream
- 150g grated cheese (Gruyère or Cheddar)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Nutmeg (optional)
- 1–2 cloves of garlic (optional)
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish with butter.
- Thinly slice the potatoes and zucchini.
- If using, mince the garlic and mix with cream, seasoning with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
- Layer the potatoes and zucchini in the prepared dish, pour the cream mixture over them, and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
Notes
For an extra depth of flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or herbs of your choice.
