Description

This delicious Potato-Zucchini Gratin combines layers of tender potatoes and zucchini, baked in a creamy cheese sauce for a comforting side dish.


Ingredients

  • 500g potatoes
  • 300g zucchini
  • 200ml cream
  • 150g grated cheese (Gruyère or Cheddar)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg (optional)
  • 1–2 cloves of garlic (optional)
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Thinly slice the potatoes and zucchini.
  3. If using, mince the garlic and mix with cream, seasoning with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  4. Layer the potatoes and zucchini in the prepared dish, pour the cream mixture over them, and sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
