Ingredients
1/2 tbsp oil
1 lb ground chicken
1 small onion diced
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1/2 tbsp freshly grated ginger
8 oz can whole water chestnuts drained diced
1/4 cup green onions diced
1 head butter lettuce
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground chicken and diced onion, cooking until the chicken is browned and the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and grated ginger, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add the diced water chestnuts and green onions, mixing well.
- Serve the chicken mixture in butter lettuce leaves, wrapping them tightly before enjoying.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped cilantro or a dash of sesame oil to the chicken mixture. Adjust the hoisin sauce to taste for sweetness level.
