Ingredients

  • 5 medium pears peeled
  • cored
  • and sliced (I used bartlett)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar (can use granulated sugar if preferred)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced pears with lemon juice and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  4. Add the cold diced butter to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the pears in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the pears are bubbly.
