These insanely good pear crumble bars are the perfect blend of buttery crust and spiced pear filling, topped with a crunchy crumble. Ideal for dessert lovers!

- 1 stick + 3 tbsp salted butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 medium pears
- 4 tsp heavy cream
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp salted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter and brown sugar, mixing until creamy.
- Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the butter mixture, stir until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sliced pears with heavy cream, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter.
- Spread the pear mixture evenly over the crust in the baking pan.
- Top with the remaining crumble mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped nuts or a drizzle of caramel sauce on top before serving.
