  • 6 medium pears
  • peeled
  • cored
  • and sliced (about 6 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, cinnamon, and cold, cubed butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In another bowl, toss the sliced pears with lemon juice, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well coated.
