- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 1 Small Onion
- Diced
- Salt & Pepper

- 2 Tablespoons Taco Seasoning
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Cup Long Grain White Rice
- 1 1/2 Cups Beef Broth
- 1 15 Ounce Can Corn
- Drained
- 8 Ounces Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Salsa
- 1 Cup Shredded Cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add the diced onion and sauté until the onion is soft.
- Season the mixture with salt, pepper, taco seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir well.
- Add the long grain white rice to the skillet and mix until well combined.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in the corn, tomato sauce, and salsa until well incorporated.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cover, and let sit for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding bell peppers or jalapeños to the beef mixture. This dish can also be topped with fresh cilantro or avocado for added freshness.
