Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Stir in the warm water, minced garlic, and chopped herbs until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours, until the surface is dotted with bubbles.
  4. Once risen, turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape it gently into a ball, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  6. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven, grease it with olive oil, and place the dough inside.
  7. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes to achieve a crispy crust.
  8. Remove the bread from the Dutch oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
