Million Dollar Spaghetti is a deliciously creamy and cheesy pasta dish that combines layers of spaghetti, cheesy goodness, and a savory meat sauce.
Ingredients
16 ounces spaghetti noodles
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground Italian sausage or pork sausage
salt and pepper to taste
1 small onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
24 ounces marinara sauce
3 Tablespoons butter
8 ounces cream cheese softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in marinara sauce and butter, allowing to simmer for a few minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese (or ricotta), and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti noodles, followed by the cheese mixture, then the meat sauce. Repeat with the remaining noodles and sauce.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
