- cored and sliced; 7 cups pear slices
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 3 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 8 tablespoons butter

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine sliced pears, lemon juice, maple syrup, cornstarch, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt, stirring to coat the pears evenly.
- Transfer the pear mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- In another bowl, mix together chopped pecans, flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and salt.
- Pour the melted butter over the pecan mixture and stir until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the pecan topping evenly over the pear filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbly.
