- 6 tablespoons caster sugar
- 6 tablespoons Marsala
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and caster sugar together until pale and creamy.
- Gradually add the Marsala wine, continuing to whisk until combined.
- Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler setup) and whisk continuously for about 10-15 minutes, until the mixture is thick and frothy.
- Serve warm or chilled, optionally topped with fresh berries or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
Notes
For best results, use a good quality Marsala wine. Adjust sugar to taste if you’d like a sweeter zabaglione.
