- Banana peppers

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the tops off the banana peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté diced onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and Italian sausage, cooking until the sausage is browned and cooked through.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage mixture with softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stuff each banana pepper with the sausage and cheese mixture.
- Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and pour marinara sauce over them.
- Top with shredded Italian cheese blend.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
