- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- a pinch of salt
- chocolate ganache (optional)
- chopped nuts (optional)
- fresh berries (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, then gently fold together until smooth.
- In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour and salt until fully combined. Allow to cool slightly.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spoon or pipe the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed. Allow to cool before filling with the cream mixture.
- Fill each pastry with the cream mixture using a piping bag. Drizzle with chocolate ganache or garnish with nuts and berries if desired.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use coconut cream in place of heavy cream and Greek yogurt for mascarpone. Feel free to customize toppings to your liking!
