  • Yield: 4 servings (about 1½ cups syrup; enough for 4 lattes) 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Enjoy the taste of fall with this refreshing Iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte that combines rich pumpkin flavor with aromatic spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cane sugar (I used ½ cup cane sugar and ½ cup dark brown sugar)
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 23 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 tsp cloves
  • 23 tablespoon peeled and chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract or vanilla paste
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the cane sugar, water, pumpkin puree, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and ginger.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Reduce heat and let the mixture gently simmer for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and nutmeg (if using).
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove solids, then let it cool completely.
  6. To serve, mix 2-4 tablespoons of the syrup with chilled coffee or espresso and milk or a milk alternative, then stir well.
  7. Serve over ice and enjoy your homemade Iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte!

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness by using your preferred sweetener. This syrup also makes a great addition to desserts and other beverages.
