Description
Enjoy the taste of fall with this refreshing Iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte that combines rich pumpkin flavor with aromatic spices.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cane sugar (I used ½ cup cane sugar and ½ cup dark brown sugar)
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 2–3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 tsp cloves
- 2–3 tablespoon peeled and chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract or vanilla paste
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cane sugar, water, pumpkin puree, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and ginger.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Reduce heat and let the mixture gently simmer for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and nutmeg (if using).
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove solids, then let it cool completely.
- To serve, mix 2-4 tablespoons of the syrup with chilled coffee or espresso and milk or a milk alternative, then stir well.
- Serve over ice and enjoy your homemade Iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte!
Notes
You can adjust the sweetness by using your preferred sweetener. This syrup also makes a great addition to desserts and other beverages.
