Ingredients

Small Onion (finely chopped)= 1
2 tablespoons of water dissolved in 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Red chili peppers (dried or fresh)= 6 ounces
Minced cloves Garlic= 4
Ginger grated= 1-inch piece
Apple cider vinegar= 1 cup
Soy sauce= 2 tablespoons
White sugar= 2 tablespoons
Salt= 1 teaspoon
Water= 1 cup
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the red chili peppers, garlic, ginger, onion, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, white sugar, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, pour the blended mixture and bring it to a simmer.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce and stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool. Store in a jar or bottle in the refrigerator.
Notes
For a spicier sauce, leave some seeds from the peppers in the mixture. Adjust the sugar to balance the heat to your taste.
