- 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- black gel food coloring

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream together 3/4 cup softened butter and 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in 1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, combine 1 cup milk, 2 1/4 cups flour, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt, then gradually add to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the batter into two bowls and add green gel food coloring to one bowl and purple gel food coloring to the other, mixing until desired colors are reached.
- Pour the green batter into one prepared pan and the purple batter into the other, then bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool for 10 minutes in the pans, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat 1 cup unsalted butter until creamy, then gradually add 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Add black gel food coloring until desired darkness is reached.
- Once cakes are cool, frost the top of the green layer with black frosting and stack with the purple layer. Frost the top and sides of the cake.
- Decorate with the sprinkle mix to create a monstrous effect.

For best results, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before starting. Feel free to get creative with colors and sprinkles to enhance the Halloween theme.
