Description

These Halloween Deviled Eggs are not just delicious; they’re also spooktacular! With vibrant colors and a creepy twist, they’re perfect for any Halloween gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • food coloring (black
  • purple
  • green
  • or other)
  • water (to cover eggs)
  • splash of white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • sprinkle of paprika
  • chia seeds
  • or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling the eggs. Place them in a pot, cover with water, and add a splash of white vinegar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 9-12 minutes.
  2. Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath for about 5 minutes to cool, then peel the shells.
  3. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. In a mixing bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Divide the yolk mixture into small bowls. Add food coloring to each bowl to create different spooky colors, mixing well to achieve the desired shades.
  5. Fill each egg white half with the colored yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  6. For decoration, sprinkle with paprika, chia seeds, or parsley if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy the creepy delight!

Notes

For extra spookiness, consider using plastic spiders or eyeball candies as garnishes.
