- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoon whole milk
- 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3 medium apples about 1 lb / 450 g peeled cored sliced into thin wedges
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the apple slices until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
