Description
Focaccia bread for sandwiches is a soft, pillowy bread topped with aromatic herbs and sea salt, perfect for creating delicious sandwiches.
Ingredients

- 625 g. Bread Flour (about 5 cups)
- 525 g. Warm Water (about 2 & 1/4 cups)
- 1 packet Instant Yeast
- 20 g Olive Oil (1 tbsp + 1 tsp)
- 10 g Honey (1 & 1/2 tsp)
- 12 g Fine Sea Salt (2 & 1/2 tsp)
- 2–3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Dried Rosemary
- 1 tbsp Maldon Flaky Salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, honey, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add the bread flour, olive oil, and fine sea salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 to 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Grease a large baking sheet with olive oil.
- Turn the risen dough out onto the baking sheet and stretch it gently to fit the pan. Dimple the surface with your fingers.
- Drizzle olive oil on top, sprinkle with dried rosemary and Maldon flaky salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing for sandwiches.
Notes
Allow the focaccia to rest for a few minutes after baking to enhance its flavor and texture.
