These Easy Fried Apple Cider Donuts are warm, delicious treats perfect for any autumn gathering or cozy morning at home.
Ingredients

- 2 cups apple cider
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon each ground cardamom nutmeg

- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 6 Tablespoon butter melted and cooled
- Oil for deep-fat frying
- Cinnamon Sugar Topping
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2–3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a saucepan, boil the apple cider over medium heat until it is reduced to about 1 cup, then let it cool.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and spices.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, cooled apple cider, and melted butter.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut out donut shapes.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 365°F (185°C) and fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the donuts and drain on paper towels, then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon while warm.
Notes
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy exterior. Adjust the spices according to your preference for flavor.
