Ingredients
20 oz cheese tortellini
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
salt
black pepper
garlic powder
smoked paprika
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
5 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup whole milk
1 1/4 cups parmesan (shredded or freshly grated)
parsley (chopped
optional)
red pepper flakes (optional)
cracked black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 4-6 minutes on each side (depending on desired doneness). Remove from pan and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine, then bring to a simmer.
- Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Slice the rested steak and add it along with the cooked tortellini to the sauce, tossing to coat.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, let the steak marinate in the seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking. Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor.
