- 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 2/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped apple. Fold this mixture into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- For the topping, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- To make the glaze, mix the confectioners’ sugar, cinnamon, and water until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding walnuts or raisins to the batter. Serve warm for a delicious experience.
