Ingredients

- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon espresso powder (optional)
- 1 ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- melted
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs + 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate bar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and espresso powder.
- In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, melted butter, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the chocolate ganache by heating the heavy cream in a small saucepan until just boiling.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped semisweet chocolate, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
- Once brownies are done, let them cool in the pan before pouring the ganache over the top.
- Let the ganache set before slicing the brownies into squares and serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle sea salt on top of the ganache before it sets!
