Description

Indulge in these rich and fudgy Chocolate Ganache Brownies, topped with a luscious chocolate ganache for the perfect dessert experience.


Ingredients

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder (optional)
  • 1 ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • melted
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs + 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz semisweet chocolate bar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and espresso powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, melted butter, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. While the brownies are baking, prepare the chocolate ganache by heating the heavy cream in a small saucepan until just boiling.
  8. Remove from heat and add the chopped semisweet chocolate, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
  9. Once brownies are done, let them cool in the pan before pouring the ganache over the top.
  10. Let the ganache set before slicing the brownies into squares and serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle sea salt on top of the ganache before it sets!
