Description

Cheesy Ground Beef and Rice Casserole is a comforting and hearty dish that combines flavorful ground beef, creamy soup, and melty cheese, all baked together for an irresistible family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk or beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Leftover rice works great for this recipe.
