This Best Homemade Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is an easy and delicious way to use ripe bananas, combining their natural sweetness with rich chocolate chips for a delightful treat.

3 ripe bananas
mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
melted
3/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional
but recommended)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted butter to the bananas and mix well.
- Stir in the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Make sure to use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. You can also add nuts for extra crunch!
