Ingredients
- Boneless skinless chicken breast
- BBQ sauce
- Garlic
- Red onion
- Onion powder
- Ground black pepper
- Mozzarella cheese
- Hawaiian slider rolls
- Butter
- Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.
- In a slow cooker, add the boneless skinless chicken breasts, BBQ sauce, minced garlic, and chopped red onion. Season with onion powder and ground black pepper. Cook on low for 4 hours or until the chicken is tender.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the shredded BBQ chicken over the bottom halves of the rolls, and then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese, then melt butter and mix with Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the top of the sandwiches.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
