- 3 Honeycrisp apples

- ¾ cup milk
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt ¼ cup unsalted butter and pour it into a round cake pan. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
- Core and slice the Honeycrisp apples, then arrange them on top of the brown sugar in the pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Mix well.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the arranged apples in the cake pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for a few minutes, then carefully invert it onto a serving plate to reveal the apple topping.
