- 21 ounce canned apple pie filling
- 15 ounce (1 twin pack) pre-made rolled pie crust
- ½ teaspoon apple pie spice
- 4 tablespoons caramel sundae syrup
- 1 large egg room temperature
- 1 tablespoon water room temperature
- 2 tablespoons white sparkling sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out one of the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 3-4 inch circles using a cookie cutter.
- In a bowl, combine the apple pie filling and apple pie spice, then place a tablespoon of the mixture onto the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal tightly.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash, then brush it over the top of each cookie.
- Sprinkle sparkling sugar on top before placing the cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with caramel sundae syrup before serving warm.
