- 2 large apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work great
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Core and slice the apples into fry-shaped pieces.
- In one bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge apple slices in the flour mixture, dip in the egg mixture, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray and place the apple fries in it.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
