These 4th of July Truffles are a creamy and patriotic treat, perfect for your holiday celebrations. With an Oreo cookie base and a colorful finish, they are sure to impress your guests.
Ingredients
14.3 oz Oreo Cookies (1 standard package
regular stuf)
8 oz full fat brick cream cheese
softened
1 pinch fine sea salt
12 oz white candy melts or white chocolate wafers
1 tsp coconut oil
2 tbsp red and blue sanding sugar or patriotic sprinkles
Instructions
- In a food processor, blend the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form.
- Add the softened cream cheese and sea salt to the cookie crumbs, and mix until well combined and creamy.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until firm.
- Meanwhile, melt the white candy melts or chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, adding coconut oil for smoothness.
- Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate, coating completely. Use a fork to lift them out and shake off excess chocolate.
- Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with red and blue sanding sugar or patriotic sprinkles.
- Allow the truffles to set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
Notes
Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Feel free to customize with different colored sprinkles for various holidays.
