Description

Impress your guests this 4th of July with these colorful trifle cups layered with strawberries, blueberries, and a luscious whipped vanilla cream. A no-bake dessert that’s perfect for summer gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale

1 (8 oz) block cream cheese

softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups cold heavy whipping cream

12 oz strawberries

hulled and sliced

6 oz blueberries

8 oz pound cake or ladyfingers

cubed

Optional: strawberry jam or berry compote for an extra fruity layer

Extra berries for garnish

Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  • To assemble the trifle cups, start with a layer of cubed pound cake or ladyfingers at the bottom of each cup. If using, spread a layer of strawberry jam or berry compote over the cake.
  • Next, add a generous layer of whipped cream mixture, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries and blueberries.
  • Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  • Garnish with extra berries and fresh mint leaves, if desired. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a fun presentation, use clear cups to showcase the beautiful layers. You can also mix and match berries based on your preference.
