  • Total Time: 50
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Halal

Description

Viral Turkish Pasta is a delicious combination of seasoned ground meat, pasta, and a creamy garlic yogurt sauce, topped with a flavorful paprika butter and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound lean ground beef

½ medium white onion finely diced

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon sweet paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon mild curry powder

1 pound pasta of choice

2 cups whole-milk or 2% plain Greek yogurt

2 garlic cloves grated

¼ teaspoon kosher salt plus more to taste

4 tablespoons salted butter

½ teaspoon sweet paprika

1 cup cherry tomatoes halved

Fresh chopped parsley and dill

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and diced onion. Cook until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent, breaking the meat apart as it cooks.
  • Season the meat mixture with kosher salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and curry powder. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • While the meat is cooking, boil the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated garlic, and ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt. Mix until well combined and set aside.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the salted butter over low heat. Stir in the sweet paprika and cook for another minute. Remove from heat.
  • To assemble, combine the cooked pasta with the meat mixture and stir gently.
  • Serve the pasta topped with the garlic yogurt sauce, drizzled with paprika butter, and garnished with halved cherry tomatoes, parsley, and dill.

Notes

For a healthier version, you can substitute the ground beef with turkey, chicken, or lamb. Adjust the spices to your taste.
