Description
Tortellini Al Forno is a cheesy, bacon-infused baked pasta dish that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

20 oz. refrigerated Tortellini
6 slices bacon
uncooked
2 teaspoons garlic
minced
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 pint half and half
½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
¼ cup Parmesan
shredded
¼ Asiago cheese
shredded
½ cup mozzarella cheese
shredded
¾ cup spinach
finely shredded (optional)
Salt/pepper
to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces, reserving some bacon fat in the skillet.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
- Gradually add the half and half, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Mix in the chopped bacon, Parmesan, Asiago, mozzarella, and spinach.
- In a large baking dish, combine the cooked Tortellini with the cheese sauce mixture.
- Sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired, then bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute half and half with whole milk. Feel free to add veggies of your choice to enhance the flavor.
