The Chicken One Pot Spaghetti is a delightful and simple family dinner recipe that combines tender chicken, perfectly cooked spaghetti, and a flavorful sauce all in one pot.
Ingredients
1 lb boneless
skinless chicken breast (cubed)
12 oz spaghetti (uncooked)
1 medium onion
diced
3 garlic cloves
minced
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups tomato sauce (or cream-based sauce)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt & pepper (to taste)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the diced onion. Sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cubed chicken to the pot, cooking until the chicken is no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, chicken broth, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil.
- Add the uncooked spaghetti to the pot, ensuring it’s covered by the sauce. Reduce heat and simmer for 18-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.
- Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
Notes
You can substitute the tomato sauce with a cream-based sauce for a different flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste.
