1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 lb chicken breast
2 tbsp butter
1 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 medium yellow onion sliced
8 oz mushroom sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 slices Monterey Jack Cheese
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
- Add chicken breasts to the marinade and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the marinated chicken with salt, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat and cook the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and add sliced onions and mushrooms on top.
- Sprinkle with additional salt and black pepper, then top with Monterey Jack cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
Notes
For the best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Adjust the toppings as per your liking.
