baked
1 apple
small gala or jazz
¼ teaspoon cinnamon ground
2 tablespoon butter
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup pecans
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Bake the sweet potato until tender, about 30 minutes at 400°F.
- Once baked, allow it to cool slightly, then scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Dice the apple and add it to the sweet potato.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the cinnamon and salt over medium heat.
- Pour the melted butter mixture over the sweet potato and apple, then mix well.
- Toast the pecans in a dry skillet until fragrant, then chop and add to the bowl.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar, stir gently, and serve warm.
