1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, green food coloring, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- Once cool, spread a layer of cream cheese frosting between the two layers and cover the entire cake with frosting.
