20 oz young green jackfruit
packed in water or brine
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1–2 tbsp hot sauce
1 tsp maple syrup or agave
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the jackfruit, then cut it into smaller pieces if needed.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the jackfruit with olive oil, smoked paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce. Mix well to coat the jackfruit.
- For added balance, mix in the maple syrup or agave if desired.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned jackfruit in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
