Ingredients

5 pounds red potatoes
washed and chopped into two-inch pieces
4 tablespoons butter
roughly chopped
3 cloves garlic
peeled and smashed
½ tablespoon salt
or to taste
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 cup chicken broth or water
1½ cups sour cream
Instructions
- Place the chopped red potatoes, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker.
- Pour the chicken broth or water over the ingredients.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
- Once cooked, mash the potatoes directly in the slow cooker.
- Stir in the sour cream until well combined and creamy.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
